Automotive Technician (Kelowna)

We are currently looking for a Shop Foreman or an Automotive Technician Journeyman to join our busy team to help diagnose, maintain and repair our customer's vehicles.

The Purpose & Objective of this position:

The Technician role is a very important role at the company as it completes the repairs and services that the sales team sells. In addition to actually producing the work sold on customer vehicles, this role also performs the vital task of inspecting vehicles to find repairs and services that are needed on a customer's vehicles which the sales team will sell to customers.

Job Responsibilities and Duties

  • Diagnostic mechanical and electrical work using specialty tools including scan tools, oscilloscopes, wiring diagrams, borescopes and chassis ears.
  • Knowledge of diagnostic flow charts.
  • Ability to maintain a high level of communication with the Service Advisor and customers.
  • Solve people’s car problems.
  • Apply diagnostic data found in one of our online manuals Alldata, ProDemand, and Identifix
  • Protractor Shop Management and Autoserve1 (digital inspections) experience is an asset.
  • Experience Punching in and out of RO’s via timeclock or online.
  • Writing complaint, cause, correction-based RO reporting
  • Preparing a repair parts list for the service advisor

Experience

  • 5-year previous Automotive knowledge required
  • Computer knowledge and proficiency
  • 3 years Customer Sales and Service Experience

Education:

  • Minimum high school education required
  • Valid driver's license
  • Red seal or equivalent certification with 5 years of experience

Front of the Line:

Current shop foreman or lead tech will move to the Front of the Line.

Compensation:

$30-$40 based on experience

Holidays 3 weeks offered after 1 year
